At Barnsley Hospital in Yorkshire, after a brave fight, Andrew passed peacefully away on 7th December, aged only 46 years. The beloved son of Doreen and John, cherished partner of Nid. Also a dearest friend who will be so sadly missed by all his family and friends. Donations are welcome to The British Heart Foundation.

Andrew was born on Friday 13th August near Stafford to proud parents Doreen and John. At school Andrew was popular with both teachers and pupils alike. He loved the outdoors and was a member of cubs at the age of 6 years where he learned the importance of team work from an early age, something that stayed with him all his life. He loved lads and dads football, his agility and height made him a natural goal keeper but once he got a BMX bike the muddy football pitches were left behind. At 16 he joined the Royal Signals, it gave him the adventure and challenge he needed.  Whether it was getting his first stripe or becoming a full corporal, his family were his biggest support and proudest of his achievements. Andrew was a man who could think on his feet and knew how to get the odd weekend leave back home, asking his mother to send a bogus invite to a wedding or christening. It stopped when the sergeant cottoned on. Soon after moving to Blandford, Dorset, with the Royals he was sent to the first Gulf war on 1990/91.

Leaving the army Andrew, like many friends found civilian life a challenge. he lived abroad for many years. He loved Spain and Thailand and lived life to the full. He was a loyal friend and never took life or love for granted. Andrew was indeed a star that shone brightly and perhaps was never meant to grow old and weary. Friends like Scott, the two Tims', Ian and Dave testify to the love Andrew had for life. Unfortunately ill health became a feature of his life since 2006. It was in Barnsley where he eventually settled, that he lost his fight for life. His Geordie friend Andy has been especially mentioned for his great support to Andrew in very difficult times.

Andrew's Funeral will take place on Thursday  21st December 2017 in Crewe Crematorium Chapel at 10.40am. Any donations in Andrew's memory are for the valuable work of the British Heart Foundation.

  Through thick and thin my cousin Andrew had the sharpest wit!.. When Dor and John came to stay, Andy would call them..they would pass the phone to either me or my husband john..within seconds we would be laughing until our sides hurt!! ..a gift that stayed with him until the end..he came out of Barnsley hospital 2 weeks ago before having to be re admitted shortly after ..I spoke to him on the phone and I was astounded that he sounded so cheerful. 'You sound amazing!'i said 'I can't believe it after what you've just been through!' 'What are you talking about H ...it was just a cold' !!!!!!! I will miss those hilarious phone calls and his unbelievable courage throughout his illness..what a very very brave boy...a credit to his dear mum and dad! God bless you Andrew Perkins

  After Andrews Funeral on the 7th December,we cannot recommend Joseph O'Connell Funeral Services enough. It was a very difficult and traumatic day for us both, but with the invaluable help from Joseph O'Connells, the pain was significantly alleviated. Their professionalism and flawless service shone throughout the day. Joseph's help before,during and after the service has gone above and beyond what we expected. He is a truly selfless and generous man. Thank you all. We would also like to thank all family and friends of Andrew for coming to the funeral and thank you for your generous donations that will go to the British Heart Foundation.

Peacefully at Leighton Hospital surrounded by the love and support of his devoted family Bob aged 72 years.

Loving partner of Sandra, a dearest dad of Andrew and Jason and Andrew's partner Karen. A devoted grandad of Scott, Dan, Lauren, Kyle, William, Jenson, Tammy, Kelsey and Hollie, also a dearest brother of Marjorie and the late Irene.

Bob was born on Sunday 28th January 1945 in Stoke-on-Trent. When he attended, he was a popular boy at school and was picked for Stoke School boys Football Team. At the age of 13 he moved to Rhyl where he met his 'soon to be' wife, Jenny. They then moved to Crewe where they raised their two children.

Bob started work at Rolls Royce then moved to P way, Crewe Works and Royal mail even finding time to run a fruit and veg van.

He loved playing dominoes, darts, going fishing, listening to pop music, a bet on the horses, a pint in the Brunell, special times with his grandchildren and holidays in Benidorm.

Funeral to take place Crewe Crematorium Chapel on Friday 15th December at 11.20am. Family Flowers only please, and any donations are for the valuable work of Macmillan UK.

"To die loved is to have lived"

Peacefully at home on the 6th December, in the care of her loving family, Pauline aged 73 years.

The beloved wife of Joseph, a much loved mum of Kieran, Jarlath, Catherine, Joseph and Declan also a cherished grandmother of Maisie, Ben, Gabriel and Molly and ever supportive sister of Ethna and Francis.

Mary will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Mary was born on the 14th January 1944 to parents Margaret and Henry in Broomfield, Ireland. She was the eldest of four children; Francis, the late Brian and Ethna. She had a love of music which was evident from an early age and which stayed with her all through her life. She trained at Colsehill, qualifying as a nurse at the age of 18 and enjoyed a long and varied career with the medical profession.

She met her husband Joe in 1963 and they married a few years later. Her family were incredibly important to Mary, as she was to them.

Mary's funeral will take place on Wednesday 20th December 2017 at 12noon in St Mary of the Immaculate Conception RC Church, Crewe followed by burial in Crewe Cemetery.

No flowers please by request, however  any donations in her memory will be for the valuable work of Cancer Research UK.

Leonard odszedł 4 grudnia po ciężkej walce z rakiem, mając 57 lat. Mąż i ojciec dwójki dzieci, jego śmierć jest wielką stratą dla rodziny i przyjaciół.

Był duszą towarzystwa, zawsze w centrum każdego wydarzenia. Uwielbiał tańczyć i żartować przy każdej nadarzającej się okazji. Aktywny czytelnik, doceniał dobrą muzykę i zawsze miał wyrobione zdanie na temat aktualnej polityki.

Urodził się i spędził większość życia w Polsce. W Crewe spędził ostatnie 10 lat, które stało się jego drugim domem. Rodzina i przyjaciele, zarówno w Polsce, jak i w Anglii, będą za nim tęsknić.

Leonard passed away at home on the 4th December, aged 57 years after a struggle with cancer. A husband and father of two. His death is a great loss to his family and friends.

He was very sociable, always at the centre of every party. He loved a good dance and would never miss an opportunity to crack a good joke! An avid reader, he also appreciated good music and was always up to speed on politics.

He was born and spent most of his life in Poland, but he made Crewe his home for the past 10 years. He will be very much missed by the people who knew him, both in Poland and England.

"Your life was a blessing. Our memories are a treasure."

Gwynneth Jones, nee Prydderch, passed away peacefully in the care of Winsford Grange Nursing Home, loved and supported by her family, aged 91 years.

Devoted wife of the late Robert, loving mum of Janet, Barbara and Ken. Cherished nan and nanny who is loved and remembered with affection by all who knew her.

Gwynneth was born in Rhosllannerchrugog, near Wrexham, on 16th February 1926. She went in to service on the Wirral at the age of 14 for two years, then joining the Woman's Land Army, working on farmland and later working in a munitions factory for the war effort.

After the war she met her late husband Robert Denzil Jones 'Den' and they were married in 1950. They had four children, Janet, Brian, Barbara and Kenneth, Brian sadly died aged 42.

The family moved from Wales to Wynbunbury in 1964 and Gwynneth and Den remained in their beloved house in Dig Lane until ill health in their later years meant a move to a care home was necessary.

Gwynneth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and the matriarch of five generations of girls.

Gwynneth was a feisty but kind-hearted woman who had great resolve. She was very much loved by all her family and friends and will be sadly missed.

The family wish to thank all the staff at Winsford Grange nursing home, especially Kirstie and Chantelle who were close to Gwynneth.

Gwynneth's funeral will take place on Tuesday 12th December at St. Chad's Church in Wynbunbury at 1100am, followed by cremation at Crewe crematorium chapel.

Family flowers only please. Donations in Gwynneth's memory to Alzheimer's Society (Crewe).

Peacefully in the care of Leighton Hospital Harry passed away on the 2nd December, aged 88 years. The beloved husband of the late Freda, much loved dad to David and Mervyn. Also a cherished grandad, great grandad and good friend who will be very sadly missed by all his family and friends. Harry's funeral will take place on 14th December at 12 noon in St Michael's Church, Coppenhall followed by burial in the family grave. Family flowers only please. In Leighton after a short illness Marjorie passed peacefully away , aged 94 years. The beloved wife of the late Bill. Also a much loved mum of the late Susan and the late Keith, sister, grandma and great grandma. Marjorie was born in 1923, the second child of Lucy and George Jones.  She was a bright child and  attended Pedley Street Infant and Bedford Street Senior School. After school her work was mainly clerical, working for County Clothes, Foden's, Palmer Man, a waitress at Hoptroffs Tea Room and for Chester Barrie in Solder Optics, where she interviewed and hired all the staff. She worked there in a senior position until she was 76 years old. Marjorie married Bill on boxing day 1944. They had two children Susan and Keith. She was so proud when her grandchildren arrived and prouder still when she became a great grandmother to four. Marjorie and Bill loved going to stay with Bill's relations in Blackpool, visiting the shows with the well known stars, and dancing in the Tower Ballroom. They also took holidays abroad with family and friends. She was a keen Crown Green Bowler and made many lifelong friends through the game. Marjorie's funeral will take place on Monday 11th December at 12 noon in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe, followed by cremation. Donations in memory of Marjorie will be gratefully received for St Luke's.

Ann passed away peacefully at Clarendon Court Care Home, aged 94 years. The beloved wife of the late Denis Griffiths. Also cherished wife to Richard Williams, much loved mum to Carol-Ann and the late Richard (Terry) and cherished grandma and great grandma, who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all her family.

Ann's funeral will take place on Monday 27th November at 12 noon in Crewe Crematorium Chapel.
