These might include their:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Employer or recent workplace if retired<\/li><li>School<\/li><li>Solicitor\/Accountant<\/li><li>Bank and Building Society<\/li><li>Mortgage provider<\/li><li>Credit\/store cards<\/li><li>Utility suppliers<\/li><li>Home building &amp; contents insurance<\/li><li>Phone, mobile, cable, broadband provider<\/li><li>Royal Mail redirection<\/li><li>Employee or private pension provider<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>along with Government organisations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The relevant Tax office:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DWP: state pension, pension credit, attendance allowance, DLA, carer\u2019s allowance, incapacity benefit, income support, jobseeker\u2019s allowance, employment, support allowance and Universal Credit<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>National Insurance Contributions Office if they were self-employed (to cancel payments)<\/li><li>Child benefit Office (within eight weeks at the latest)<\/li><li>Local authority if they paid Council Tax, had a parking permit, were issued with a Blue Badge for disabled parking or received social services help, attended day care or similar<\/li><li> UK Identity and Passport Service, to return and cancel a passport<\/li><li>DVLA, to return any driving licence, cancel car tax or return car registration documents\/change ownership<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Woking Funeral Service will be able to advise you on anyone else who might need informing so please do check with us if you\u2019re unsure. We can also help you with the wording and placing of announcements in local or national papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You might find it helpful to develop a filing system to keep the paperwork in order so you can keep a list of who you have contacted and any relevant paperwork and replies so you can access them easily.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also a free website service called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deathnotificationservice.co.uk\">www.deathnotificationservice.co.uk<\/a> that allows you to make one notification that will then be used to contact all the participating organisations that you select.
