Shed loads of friends

Funeral Arranger Tracey Bowman has recently embarked on a mission to get to know her community.

The Kings Heath arranger set about visiting local community projects and first on the list was Moseley and Kings Heath Shed.

The Shed notion was born out of the Men’s Shed movement which started in Australia to combat loneliness in older men. The Birmingham shed also welcomes women and generally you can find people pottering, making, mending or recycling.

Tracey donated tea, coffee, biscuits and pens which were a huge hit at the shed especially during well-deserved break times.

Tracey said, “I was really nervous about going but I don’t why because everyone was so lovely, really looking forward to seeing where we can help with this one, and any other small community charities around the area”.
