William H. Painter’s Yardley branch has generously donated £136.16 to Hollytrees Animal Rescue Trust in Birmingham. Hollytrees takes in abandoned, injured and unwanted animals.
Where wildlife is concerned the trust gets them back to health and releases them into the wild or hands them over to specialist rescues, or in very rare circumstances where they would be unable to survive in the wild, they become permanent residents.
For dogs, cats and other household pets the trust gets them up to 100% health where necessary, and in the case of dogs and cats neutered, before beginning the search for their new home. Apart from two funded kennel assistants, the rescue centre is run on a totally voluntary basis ensuring the animals are the benefactors of generous donations which are always gratefully received. The donation from William H. Painter could pay for a whole host of things such as neutering or spaying two animals.
