Community Activities
The William H. Painter branch at Knowle hosted a Coffee and Cards event on 11th March 2015 to help raise funds for Knowle Cancer Week. Local trader Victoria Dinnis from Phoenix Trading came along to the Knowle branch to set up a lovely greetings card display. Gemma and Amber from William H. Painter were introduced to Victoria at a networking event in Knowle and the idea for coffee and cards was born.
Locals were invited to come in for a cuppa and a cake whilst browsing through the wide selection of beautifully hand finished greetings cards. A percentage of sales is being donated to Knowles annual Cancer Week charities.
We also made a £25 donation to the Knowle Society as part of an exciting project within Knowle to plant large drifts of spring bulbs along the main road to the entrance of the village.
