| William H Painter Chelmsley Wood Jeanette Husselbee, funeral arranger at William H Painter, Chelmsley Wood had a fantastic response to her appeal for donations.Windy Arbour Primary School collected over 100 eggs, other donations came from Tesco’s Green Lane, Wilkinson’s Acocks Green, The Family Tree Social Club in Chelmsley Wood collected over 100 eggs and Buchan Chemists in castle Bromwich donated 30 Easter Eggs. In total 400 Easter Eggs were donated to the appeal which is a true testament to community spirit and we want to take this opportunity to thank all those who contributed to this year’s appeal. As well as Birmingham Children’s Hospital eggs were also donated to St Basils who received 40 Eggs for the vulnerable young people and families they work with and three local families in smith’s wood were given 20 eggs. On Monday 21st March four children from Windy Arbour School were taken in a limousine to Birmingham Children’s Hospital to deliver the Easter Eggs. |

| William H Painter Yardley and Castle Bromwich-Heartlands Hospital Approx. 70-80 eggs were donated to Heartlands Hospital’s Paediatric Unit on Ward 16 as well as some arts and crafts materials. The donations for Heartlands came from a combined appeal from our William H Painter Funeral Director branches in Castle Bromwich and Yardley. The donations from Castle Bromwich mainly came from the general public and through the arranger. Those from the Yardley branch came from the branch and direct appeals. We had a £20 gift card from Tesco at the Swan Yardley, Newman Brothers Coffin Works and St Edburgha’s Church in Yardley. We also had a substantial amount from St Peters Church in Hall Green which is a Church attended by one of our members of staff at the Yardley branch. |
