William H Painter at Dovehouse Parade Solihull held their annual Christmas service of Remembrance on Thursday 10th December at 4pm, the service was conducted by Rev. Jackie Wilkinson and attended by 12 people. The service started with a memorial message, prayers and ended with a Christmas blessing. There was also a time for reflection at which time those who had attended could place a personal message tag on the Christmas tree in honour of a loved one.
Representatives from Troop Aid were also present to talk a little about the valuable work that they do by providing the “basic essentials” in a Grab Bag to service personnel who are inured either on training exercise or in combat for their return to the UK.
Refreshments were served after the service. We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who attended and for being a part of our service.
