Funeral Service Operative (full time and part time vacancies)

The FSO role forms an essential part of the funeral process as you will be required to drive ceremonial vehicles, bear coffins and work as a part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the funeral, respecting the families and the deceased, and observing local customs. Other tasks will include helping with coffin deliveries, fitting coffins, preparing the deceased, cleaning company vehicles and keeping workshop and mortuary areas clean and tidy. You will also be involved in bringing the deceased into our care and will be expected to follow our company policies and procedures and health and safety requirements, when preparing the deceased for viewing.

We look for professional individuals, who can act as ambassadors for the company when dealing with all members of the public.

You must have a full driving licence and be available to work ‘on call’ and ‘out of hour’ shifts.
