The Funeral
Our funeral directors often get to know families well over the years, and this funeral is a perfect example of the relationship of trust that we develop. Our funeral service arranger Kevin sat down with the daughter of the family to plan her father’s funeral, helped by the knowledge we gained of the family’s preferences when arranging her mother’s funeral a few years earlier. She asked for a traditional Roman Catholic service to be held at St John the Baptist church in Hackney, London. The family chose to use a single hearse to carry the deceased from home to the church, and asked for no flowers.

The family chose us to carry out this funeral because we have been their funeral directors in the past and we have built up a rapport. Our relationship with the family enabled us to guide them smoothly through the arrangements for their father’s funeral. We welcomed them to our chapel of rest, where they spent time with their father before the funeral, and this clearly gave them comfort.
